Department of Power Engineering and Information Technology
The mission of Department of Power and Information Technology is to produce competent and quality professionals by imparting fundamental and applied knowledge of electric power engineering, and excellent computer education, problem solving techniques, ability to design and work with modern tools, and to develop technology and systems for the planning, operation and maintenance of efficient, sustainable energy systems.
The Department of Power Engineering and Information Technology was founded in 2017. The department has well equipped laboratory facilities and 20 highly qualified faculty members having rich experience in teaching. The department imparts the practical enhanced knowledge to the students on the fundamentals of electronic systems, as well as taking care of real life issues and knowledge of new advancements with new technologies are worked on through Internship.
The Environmental Engineering Department has been conducting research in the following areas:
- IoT development
- Optimization of power-system operation modes, Power Losses Reduction and Reliability Improvement
- Mining Equipment Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety
- Curriculum & Syllabi in Electrical & Electronics Engineering which lays a greater emphasis on design and development of Electrical circuits, Power systems and Power Electronics and other related courses of Electrical Engineering. We also offer major core courses of Software engineering and Engineering of Electrical Equipment in Mines. Our department offers bachelor and master degree programs in the field of power engineering, software engineering and electrical engineering and engineering of electrical equipment in mining.
